Taylor Forrest is a multidisciplinary designer and fabricator based in the Hudson Valley. She holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design and studied at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. An artist at heart, Taylor has always been drawn to the idea of enhancing the experience of everyday life through artistic refinement, an ethos that initially led her to a career in fashion design where she spent nearly a decade working in New York City before pivoting to furniture design in 2018.
Largely self-taught, she has cultivated a versatile skill set, driven by the curiosity to learn how all things are made. Her work is materials-focused and rooted in an appreciation for the intersection of aesthetics and functionality. Through her practice, she aims to define the era we are in, creating pieces that not only embrace craftsmanship and intentional design, but also celebrate the unique qualities of each material.
Beyond her own collections, Taylor collaborates with artists and designers looking to develop or expand their offerings. With a hands-on, tailored approach, she provides design consulting, development support, and manufacturing guidance, helping creatives bridge the gap between concept and production while navigating the complexities of small-scale manufacturing.
